One-on-One Sports Physical Therapy in Sacramento, CA

Built for Athletes Who Refuse to Stop

Cash-based physical therapy means one-on-one time with your DPT, a plan built around your goals, and no shortcuts driven by what your insurance will cover. At Lakás PT, your provider is with you from the first session to the last.

Waiting It Out Is Not a Treatment Plan, Pain Doesn't Fix Itself

Your Pain Keeps Coming Back No Matter How Much You Rest

You scale back, rest up, and try again, only to land right back where you started. The issue keeps recurring because the root cause was never addressed.

Generic PT Gave You a Protocol, Not a Plan

Insurance-based PT often means rushed visits, double-booked schedules, and a one-size-fits-all protocol that was never built around your sport or your specific goals.

You've Been Told to Just Rest And It Hasn't Worked

Rest is not a treatment plan. If stopping activity were the answer, you would have solved this already. The real fix is building a body that can handle your training demands.

Rae Clarkson
I have been told by my girlfriend that can't stop going here for physical therapy because for the first time in 5 years I was able to stand up of the floor without an excessive amount of clicking joints and unnecessary groaning.
Jake
Grateful for the opportunity to work with Kim. She is very dedicated to her work and her knowledge about recovery is so vast. She uses all of her gym resources to make sessions challenging and engaging. Went in to fix one knee but she's helped me with both and I'm back to playing soccer competitively and confidently.

Frequently Asked Questions

Have questions about what physical therapy at Lakás PT looks like? Start here.

How is cash-based PT different from insurance-based PT?

With cash-based PT, you work one-on-one with a licensed DPT for the full session, no aides, no double-booking, and no visit caps set by your insurance plan. Your plan is built entirely around your goals. Most insurance-based practices double-book patients and limit sessions based on what benefits will cover.

Can I use my HSA or FSA to pay for sessions?

Yes. Lakás PT accepts HSA and FSA payments. You can also pay in full or in installments. If you have out-of-network benefits, we can provide a superbill for possible reimbursement though we cannot guarantee what your plan will cover.

How many sessions will I need?

It depends on your injury, history, and goals. After your first evaluation, we build a plan of care tailored to your timeline. Most clients have a clearer picture of what to expect after that first session and we reassess regularly so the plan stays on track.

Do you only work with competitive athletes?

No. We work with anyone who moves and wants to keep moving from competitive athletes to weekend warriors, desk workers dealing with chronic pain, and active adults focused on healthy aging. If something is limiting what you can do, we want to help you change that.

What happens at my first appointment?

Your first visit is a comprehensive evaluation. We listen to your full history, assess your movement, identify what is contributing to your pain or limitation, and set clear performance goals. You leave with a plan not just exercises, but a clear picture of what we are addressing and why.
